We believe that Holy Scripture is God’s revelation of Himself to the world.  Inspired by the Holy Spirit, God has given His Word to us free from error.  Through His Word of Law and Gospel, He speaks to a fallen world bidding people to repent of their sins and to trust in God’s forgiveness of sins for the sake of the life, suffering, death, and resurrection of His only-begotten Son Jesus.

Holy Cross is committed to teach and do that which is in complete harmony with what is taught in the Lutheran Confessions, the Book of Concord (1580).  We believe, teach, and confess that the Book of Concord is a faithful exposition of Holy Scripture.

The contents of the Lutheran Confessions are listed below.

They may be found by clicking (here)

The Apostles Creed

The Nicene Creed

The Athanasian Creed

The Augsburg Confession (unaltered)

The Apology (Defense) of the Augsburg Confession

The Smalcald Articles

Holy Cross is committed to faithfulness to Holy Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions.  Therefore, Pastor Henson and Pastor Emeritus Handrich are members of

The Evangelical Lutheran Diocese of North America (ELDoNA).

Holy Cross worships in reverence by using the traditional liturgies of the Church as used throughout the centuries.  Each week in the Divine Service our Lord serves us by bringing to us His forgiveness of sins.  He does this through His Word, as read and preached; through Holy Absolution; and through His Holy Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

God's blessing of serving people with the forgiveness of sins is intended for all people regardless of age.  Therefore, we encourage families to worship together from infant to the aged.
